NWWP 2015 - BRAZIL PROJECT
| NEGUSWORLD WIDE PARTY 2015 CONTRIBUTED TO THE BUILDING OF A SOCCER PITCH IN BRASILIA TEIMOSA
RECIPIENT ORGANIZATION: LOVE.FÚTBOL
The Fifa World Cup 2014, that took place in Brazil, generated a great amount of money for the country. Spectators traveled from around the world to see their favorite athletes play the game they love so much. A lot of attention was brought to Brazil yet many children were denied a safe place to play the game they adore just as much.
For the NWWP 2015, NegusWorld was looking for an organization that would serve that particular need and partnered with Love.fútbol, a nonprofit that creates community soccer fields that act as catalysts for sustainable social change. This event helped Love.fútbol start the construction of their 35th field in the community of Brasilia Teimosa within the town of Recife.

500 local children will benefit from this pitch weekly.
The site received new goals, eucalyptus fencing, and nylon netting to prevent soccer balls from “escaping” too dangerous areas for children.
The surrounding play areas were also refurbished with murals, the installation of benches, a gazebo, garbage bins, beach-volleyball gear, signage urging drivers to reduce speeds while driving through the area, and signage encouraging community members to take care and maintain the equipment.
On Saturday May 9, 2015, through 20 events spread over several cities around the world, NegusWorld fundraised $16,412 during an amazing one-day worldwide celebration.
NY Cosmos professional soccer players and the legendary Pelé contributed to the success of this fundraiser.
